The Portuguese community in Macau traces to its history as a Portuguese colony but has declined since the colony returned to Chinese control . They are an Diaspora people, in the Portuguese, European people cluster of the Eurasian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Roman Catholicism. They primarily speak Portuguese.
