They are an ethnolinguistic group known for their vibrant culture, entrepreneurial spirit, and rich traditions, originating from the western Indian state of Gujarat, with a history of significant contributions to trade, arts, and cuisine They are an Diaspora people, in the Gujarati people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Gujarati.
