The Chechens of Russian Federation, numbering approximately 1,360,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an ethnic group native to the North Caucasus region of southwestern Russia. They are also known as Nikhchiy. They are an Indigenous people in the Caucasus people cluster of the Eurasian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Chechen and their primary religion is Sunni Islam.
