Druze is an offshoot of the Ismailism school of Shia Islam. Druze beliefs and practices are so distant from the main body of Muslim beliefs that they are no longer classified as a branch of Islam. The Druze religion incorporates elements from Abrahamic religions as well as Gnosticism, Neoplatonism, and Pythagoreanism, but stresses the role of the human mind and truthfulness over the teachings of religious scriptures.
