  • GENC -- Geopolitical Entities, Names, and Codes

    GENC (Formerly FIPS PUB 10-4) is a U.S. profile of ISO 3166 that meets the general and unique U.S. Government requirements for country codes.

  • GRD -- Global Research Department

    The Global Research Department of the International Mission Board, SBC gathers and analyzes information collected through a global network of research coordinators.

  • HIS -- Harvest Information Standards

    The Harvest Information Standards is a cooperative effort of several organizations who share a desire to facilitate the task of taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to all the peoples of the world. HIS assists mission sending groups in fulfilling their portion of the task, by improving the sharing of information through the standardizing of categories and codes.

  • IMB -- International Mission Board

    The International Mission Board (formerly Foreign Mission Board) is an entity of the Southern Baptist Convention, the nation's largest evangelical denomination, claiming more than 40,000 churches with nearly 16 million members. The board's main objective is presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ in order to lead individuals to saving faith in Him and result in church-planting movements among all the peoples of the world.

  • PEID -- Population Entity Identification Number

    A unique number identifying a specific people group as listed in the CPPI database of the International Mission Board's Global Research Department (GRD).

  • GSEC -- Global Status of Evangelical Christianity

    A model which describes the progress of the Gospel among the peoples of the world.
