The Mali (Malakkar) are an occupational caste engaged in gardening and supplying flowers to Hindu temples. They have numerous subgroups and are widely distributed in West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
