Overview: The Dusadh (Dosadh, Dusad) are a Dalit community of India. They are distributed across the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal. Historically, the Dusadhs were palanquin bearers. Dalit is a Sanskrit term meaning "broken or scattered" and refers to the lowest caste in India, often characterized as "untouchable".
