Overview: Bantu refers to a large, complex linguistic grouping of peoples in Africa. The Gikuyu-Kamba Bantu people cluster encompasses more than a dozen ethnic or tribal people groups of which the two largest are the Kikuyu (Gikuyu), one of the main ethnic groups in Kenya located in the highlands north of Nairobi, and the Kamba, another of Kenya's primary ethnic groups located east of Nairobi, especially in the Machakos and Kitui districts in Eastern Province.
