South Asian Peoples
Muslim Rajput are concentrated in Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana and Gujarati. They converted from Hinduism to Islam during the regime of Mohammad Shah Bangash in the 18th century. The Muslim Rajput are endogamous and preferr to marry among the Syed, Sheikh, Mughal and Pathan communities.
