Overview: The Pasi are a Dalit community of India. They are mainly distributed in Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh. They are divided into subgroups including the Gujjar Pasi, Kaith Pasi and Baurasi Pasi. Dalit is a Sanskrit term meaning "broken or scattered" and refers to the lowest caste in India, often characterized as "untouchable".
