The Macanese of Macao

The Macanese of Macao, numbering approximately 8,900 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an ethnic group of mixed Portuguese and Cantonese descent whose identity originated in Portuguese Colonial Macau. They are also known as Macaense, 土生葡人, Maquista. They are an Indigenous people in the Other Southeast Asian people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Chinese, Yue and their primary religion is Protestantism.
