The Macanese of Macao, numbering approximately 8,900 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are described as an ethnic group of mixed Portuguese and Cantonese descent whose identity originated in Portuguese Colonial Macau and can also be known as Macaense, 土生葡人, Maquista. They are an Indigenous people, with Macanese as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Other Southeast Asian people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism. They primarily speak Chinese, Yue.
