The Malis of India

The Malis of India, numbering approximately 6,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a small Hindu community of India, a scheduled tribe of Andhra Pradesh. The Mali are an occupational community traditionally engaged in making and selling garlands with flowers and officiating as priests in village temples and shrines. They are also known as Malis. They are an Indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Odia and their primary religion is Hinduism.
