The Gokha of India

The Gokha of India, numbering approximately 285,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste of Odisha whose name means cow-eater, concentrated in Balasore, Cuttack, and Puri districts, and traditionally sustained by fishing in rivers and ponds. They are an Indigenous people in the Odia people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Odia and their primary religion is Folk Hinduism.
