The Udmurts of Uzbekistan

The Udmurts of Uzbekistan, numbering approximately 4,700 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Permian-speaking Finno-Ugric people indigenous to the Volga-Ural region of Russia. Their culture reflects Uralic heritage, forest-zone traditions, and interaction with Russian and Turkic neighbors, and they are predominantly Eastern Orthodox. They are an Diaspora people in the Finno-Ugric people cluster of the Eurasian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Udmurt and their primary religion is Eastern Orthodox Christianity.
