The Asen of Ghana

The Asen of Ghana, numbering approximately 230,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Akan people of Ghana's Central Region tracing origin to migrations across the Pra River from Adanse-Amansie, one of the first five Akan states whose Kingdom of Assin controlled Gold Coast caravan trade before its conquest by Denkyira in 1698. They mostly adhere to Protestantism and Akan is their primary language.
