Sorani Kurds, also known as Central Kurds, are indigenous to Iraqi Kurdistan. They are an Diaspora people, in the Kurd people cluster of the Persian-Median affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni. They primarily speak Central Kurdish.
