The Uyghurs of Canada, numbering approximately 1,700 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Turkic ethnic group originating from Central and East Asia. The Uyghurs are the majority ethnic group of China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and can also be known as Uighur. They are an Diaspora people, in the Uyghur people cluster of the Turkic Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni. They primarily speak Uyghur.
