The Poduval of India

The Poduval of India, numbering approximately 6,200 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an Ambalavasi community of Kerala traditionally employed as temple watchmen, garland-makers, and drummers, also called Muttatu or Potuval. Temple service continues, supplemented by agriculture and government or private service. They are an Indigenous people in the Malayali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Malayalam and their primary religion is Hinduism.
