The Tondman of India, numbering approximately 559,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Tamil Nadu community of Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, and Madurai districts, a branch of the Kallar traditionally serving as drummers, pipers, and lime-burners. Agriculture, business, and service are now common occupations. They are an Indigenous people in the Tamil people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Tamil and their primary religion is Hinduism.
