The Chadwa of India

The Chadwa of India, numbering approximately 9,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Sunni Muslim artisan community of Rajasthan, also called Chudrigaran, renowned for cloth dyeing and the tie-and-dye craft associated with Jodhpur. They trace their migration from Multan about 700 years ago. They are an Indigenous people in the Rajasthani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Urdu and their primary religion is Sunni Islam.
