The Rujjhar of India, numbering approximately 1,400 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste of Hoshangabad district, Madhya Pradesh, and neighboring Narsinghpur, Betul, and Nagpur, claiming descent from Bhimsen and Darui Thakur. Agricultural wage labor and firewood collection remain their main occupations. They are an Indigenous people in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Hindi and their primary religion is Hinduism.
