The Citrakar of India

The Citrakar of India, numbering approximately 19,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a traditional community of scroll painters and singer‑storytellers from eastern India, most prominently West Bengal and parts of Odisha and present‑day Bangladesh They are an Indigenous people, with Chitrakar as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Marathi-Konkani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Bengali.
