The Bandollu of India

The Bandollu of India, numbering approximately 30,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a formerly nomadic Telugu-speaking mendicant community found throughout Andhra Pradesh, whose name derives from banda ("stone"), the stone alms-seekers traditionally carried while threatening self-harm if alms were refused. They are an Indigenous people in the Telugu people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Telugu and their primary religion is Hinduism.
