The Chari of India, numbering approximately 125 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an occupational caste of Goa. The Chari are traditionally carpenters and blacksmiths who speak Konkani and trace their origin to the divine architect Vishwakarma, now pursuing diverse occupations and education. They are an Indigenous people in the Marathi-Konkani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Konkani and their primary religion is Hinduism.
