The Chari of India

The Chari of India, numbering approximately 125 people, are Unengaged and Unreached.
They are described as an occupational caste of Goa. The Chari are traditionally carpenters and blacksmiths who speak Konkani and trace their origin to the divine architect Vishwakarma, now pursuing diverse occupations and education.
They are an Indigenous people in the Marathi-Konkani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc.
Konkani is their primary language and Hinduism is their primary religion.

The Chari are No Longer Unreached, which means there are more than 2% evangelical Christian populations and there are churches consistent with evangelical faith and practice. There is still more to be done among them.
