The Manjygur Muslims of India

The Manjygur Muslims of India, numbering approximately 250 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Sunni Muslim community of Kashmiri street food vendors (fish pakora, nadru, chestnuts) concentrated in Srinagar. The Manjygur speak both Urdu and Kashmiri and use the Perso-Arabic scripts. Today, some also engage in agriculture, service, and business. They are an Indigenous people in the Kashmiri people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Urdu and their primary religion is Sunni Islam.
