The Bargujar of India

The Bargujar of India, numbering approximately 160,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Rajput landowning community of western Uttar Pradesh who trace their mythical origin to Lav, a son of Lord Ram. They are traditionally settled cultivators, worship Ram and Shiva, and are organized into exogamous clans. They are an Indigenous people in the Rajput people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Mewari and their primary religion is Hinduism.
