The Jatigar of India

The Jatigar of India, numbering approximately 125 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a socioreligious community of Sunni Muslims in Bijapur and Dharwad districts of Karnataka who speak Urdu and Kannada and traditionally polished cattle horns and clipped hair before adopting agricultural labor and tailoring. They are an Indigenous people in the Urdu people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Urdu and their primary religion is Sunni Islam.
