The Borewale of India

The Borewale of India, numbering approximately 900 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a small Urdu-speaking Muslim community of the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh, formerly nomadic mendicants who now weave palm-leaf mats, a craft that gave them their name from bore, meaning mat. They are also known as Deera Pakheerulu. They mostly adhere to Sunni Islam and Urdu is their primary language.
