The Muslim Kachera of India

The Muslim Kachera of India, numbering approximately 2,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a community of glass bangle makers and sellers found across Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Odisha, with both Hindu members called Kacher and Muslim members called Kachera. Their name derives from kancha, meaning glass. They are an Indigenous people in the Odia people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Urdu and their primary religion is Sunni Islam.
