Today they are found in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. They are an Indigenous people in the Arain people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Punjabi, Eastern and their primary religion is Sunni Islam.
