Today they are found in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. They are an Indigenous people, in the Arain people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni. They primarily speak Kanauji.
