The Gujjar (Urdu) of India, numbering approximately 223,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a large and diverse ethnic community found across northern and western India. Historically, they have been associated with pastoralism, cattle herding, dairy production, agriculture, and, in some regions, nomadic or semi-nomadic lifestyles. They are an Indigenous people in the Gujjar people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Urdu and their primary religion is Sunni Islam.
