Khalkha are the largest subgroup of Mongol people who have inhabited modern Mongolia since the 15th century. They are an Diaspora people in the Mongolian people cluster of the East Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Mongolian, Halh and their primary religion is Tibetan Buddhism.
