The Kurmi of India

The Kurmi of India, numbering approximately 15,930,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a caste community of agriculturists found throughout northern India, particularly in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The Kurmi have multiple territorial endogamous divisions, mainly speaking Hindi and practicing Hinduism. They are an Indigenous people in the Kurmi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Hindi and their primary religion is Hinduism.
