The Cajuns of United States, numbering approximately 79,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a people whose ancestry traces back to French-speaking settlers of Acadia, a 17th‑ and 18th‑century French colony located in what is now Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and parts of Maine. They are also known as Acadian. They are an Indigenous people in the French people cluster of the Eurasian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is English and their primary religion is Roman Catholicism.
