They are a major Arab tribal confederation with deep historical roots in northwestern Arabia (Hijaz) and a very large presence in Sudan and Egypt. The Guhayna were among the first Arab tribes to fully convert to IslamJuhayna They are an Indigenous people, in the Arab, Sudan people cluster of the Arab Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni. They primarily speak Arabic, Sudanese.
