The Kuta of India

The Kuta of India, numbering approximately 828,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a community of Bahraich, Moradabad, and Shahjahanpur districts, Uttar Pradesh. The Kuta are named for their trade of husking rice. Rice mills pushed them into transport, business, and wage labor. They are an Indigenous people in the Other South Asian people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Awadhi and their primary religion is Folk Hinduism.
