The Monpa of India, numbering approximately 152,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are described as a subgroup of the Monpa, an ethnic group originating in northeastern India They are an Indigenous people, with Monpa/Monba as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Tibetan people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples. Their primary religion is Tibetan Buddhism. They primarily speak Monpa, Tawang.
