The Pindara of India, numbering approximately 88,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a Muslim community of Bhopal, Raisen, and Sehore districts in Madhya Pradesh using Sheikh as a title, their name recalling an intoxicating drink. Agriculture remains their traditional and present occupation, supplemented by day labor They are an Indigenous people, with Pindara as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Urdu people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. They mostly adhere to Sunni Islam and Urdu is their primary language.
