The Jaunsari of India

The Jaunsari of India, numbering approximately 123,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Scheduled Tribe of the Jaunsar Bawar region in Uttar Pradesh, spanning high-status Brahmin and Rajput groups and lower-status Kolta groups. They are agriculturists who historically practiced polyandry. They are an Indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Jaunsari and their primary religion is Folk Hinduism.
