The Senva of India

The Senva of India, numbering approximately 163,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste of Surendranagar district, Gujarat, claiming Rajput descent, traditionally makers of mats and ropes who also remove and skin animal carcasses. Landless labor remains their main occupation. They are an Indigenous people in the Gujarati people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Gujarati and their primary religion is Folk Hinduism.
