The Bajgi of India

The Bajgi of India, numbering approximately 31,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste community of the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand whose name derives from their traditional occupation of drum-beating. They are also known as Auji for their work as tailors, and they practice Hinduism. They are also known as Shilpkar. They are an Indigenous people in the Nepali-Pahari people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Garhwali and their primary religion is Hinduism.
