The Arain (Urdu) of India

The Arain (Urdu) of India, numbering approximately 121,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Muslim agricultural community of the north‑western Indian subcontinent, historically known as skilled cultivators, market gardeners, and farmers. Today they are found in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. They are an Indigenous people in the Arain people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Urdu and their primary religion is Sunni Islam.
