The Chhimba of India

The Chhimba of India, numbering approximately 194,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a North Indian tailoring and cloth-printing caste tracing its origin to Baba Namdev, also known as Darzi, with both Sikh and Hindu branches engaged in dyeing, stamping, and garment-making. They are an Indigenous people in the Punjabi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Punjabi, Western and their primary religion is Hinduism.
