The Mawalud of India, numbering approximately 1,555,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Sunni Muslim community of the Deccan region of India, historically associated with the Muslim culture of the formr Hyderabad-Deccan region. They are an Indigenous people in the Urdu people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Urdu and their primary religion is Sunni Islam.
