They are a community of India, distributed in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha and Haryana and can also be known as Khatti, Lohar, Suthar, Hati. They are an Indigenous people, in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Malvi.
