The Kamma of India

The Kamma of India, numbering approximately 5,990,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Telugu‑speaking Hindu community of southern India, concentrated mainly in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Originating as agriculturists in the fertile Kammanadu region, they rose to become a dominant forward caste. They are an Indigenous people in the Telugu people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Telugu and their primary religion is Hinduism.
