The Tatar of Turkmenistan

The Tatar of Turkmenistan, numbering approximately 72,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Turkic ethnic group indigenous to the Tatarstan region of Russia and Ukraine and can also be known as Tatarlar, Татарлар. They are an Diaspora people, in the Ural-Siberian people cluster of the Turkic Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni. They primarily speak Tatar.
